I will swap out the hard drive for a bigger one either way, so which platform is better overall disregarding the hd size? I don't have a PS2 and I want to be able to play that game library as well as have the PS3's functionality.

I am thinking of getting one for my son. He had a PS2. I'm not sure which is best: PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii?
He's 8.

i recently bought a ps2 from a used store. i tried putting a movie in to watch and a parental block popped up asking for a password. i do not know it is there anyway i can get rid of that so i can watch certain movies?

hi there...well i had a big problem yesterday..i was gonna play my ps3 and i decided to check the syste,msettings and i found a setting that said switch to another system or something like that and the thing is that i switched and two pinguins showed at the screen and then it started loading some stuff but i waited and it frozed up..so i could not turned it off so i had to umplugged thr cable and then when i tryied to play again it doesnt do anything ..its just like nothing happens ...does anybody knows what that is? o if i messed it up? i hope i didint ...thanx

I have searched on the internet, on the bbc website, msn website and sony itself and there is no mention that the 60gb is being phased out. However in discussion forums and hmv they say that sony has said 60gb will be phased out and replaced with the 40gb version.

Can anyone let me know, preferably with evidence in terms of a link to the credible webpage?

I am thinking about buying a PS3 game from a seller on eBay that states the item is coming from Hong Kong. It says the item is in English and region free but I thought I would double check with you guys as to whether it would work on my UK machine? Also, what differences would there be from a proper UK version of the game??

OK, so its expensive and has no good games and the it lags behind ms and wii sales.
Dont forget consoles have relatively long product life spans, eg 5-6 years, and i feel it will take a while for game makers to fully take advantage of PS3 superiority
Firstly these consoles have had a year or so head start, as i remember 360 didnt have any must have titles for first few months. PS3 Games will come soon, pro evo being the first main titile, yes i know it will probably be on 360 aswell, but soon game makers will learn to produce games which maximise ps3 potential. Wii is just a fad, and in 1 years time will feel and play like a dated console. 360's best games will always look, feel and play like PC games. Remember wise investor anticpate the success of the things other people cant see being successful, and my bet is that the best long term investment will be a PS3, in 3 years time it will be the established console
