Why don't you just use an eternet cable. Its much more reliable and connection is faster.

Move router closer to PS3. Remove any obstacles. May be there is a strong source of electromagnetic field on the way (fridge, speakers). Also you can purchase bigger wi-fi antenna suitable for your router from any PC store.

The router has to be more or less within 10-30 ft to have a strong signal.
