using a cable is faster and more stable than wireless. But even though I say that. I use wireless on the ps3 and wired on my computer.

There isn't much difference, but wi-fi isn't that stable, like wired connection. If you'll use wi-fi, remember, there shouldn't be obstacles and electromagnetic interference in the way.
