ok, the ps3 is still overpriced for me then. time for plan B- xbox 360 arcade console!

well, I'm not getting the elite, which I think is a rip off. I'm getting the cheapest one which will be $279.99 because I don't really want to spend too much money on just video games. I like the ps3 better than the xbox 360, but the ps3 is priced too high for me and the 360 is cheaper.

Well yeah it's 279.99 but it'll end up with a cost of almost the 400 that the ps3 would cost you if you want to play online. If you just want to play games then fine as long as it's offline. The 360 arcade machine is 279.99 + 99.99 for wi-fi adapter, and $50 for the year of xbox live gold to play online. Bringing your grand total for the cheaper of the two to $429.98, a whole $70 cheaper, plus no HDD on the arcade box.
Not sure that's a good move.

wow
xbox 360? lol
have fun with it, oh by the way make sure you start storing boxes from microsoft for every three months so you will have it by the time it gets the ring of death. you cant even add $20 to buy a ps3? ps3 comes with more features in the box than 360.

i'll list some of the reasons for picking ps3 over 360

- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player

- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)

- online is free for ps3 not like 360

- ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring

- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it

- playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)

- ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p

- built in Wi-Fi

- xbox 360: 33% hardware failure
ps3: .2% hardware failure(see the decimal? less than 1%!)

- rumble returns in spring 2008

- you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD
(they actually have the step by step on how to upgrade it on playstation.com)

those are the ones that i know right off my mind but there are much more reason than this

Prices as of today:
ps3- 80gb: $599
60gb: $499
xbox 360(premium)- $399 (if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars)

coming out: 40gb $399

The new 40g I think well be around 399. I'm not sure if they are going to get it to the US by Christmas but I would assume they try. And not Backwards Compatibility with old PS2 games.
