I am about to invest in the Nikon D200 as my first step into the exciting world of amateur photography. Up until now, I've just used a standard digital camera and would like any suggestions on good publications that are worth investing in to educate me.

Lithium Battery Pack NB-4L

i reciently (december) bought a canon SD600 and it came with one of these batteries... it is a rechargable one and came with the charges... but for some reason my camera wont turn on... and i charged it all the way...

could it be that the battery is dead? should i buy a new one and try that? please help

This is my last question and then I will purchase. I know the Nikon D80 has a 1/4000 shutter speed while the Canon Rebel XTi has a 1/8000. Is there much difference? When do you use each speed? I don't do much of speed shots but I just want to know that if I ever need to, I won't have a problem of the speed being to slow to capture the image.

I'm looking for a VERY lightweight camera to take on extended backpacking trips. Can't be adding too much weight, so I know sacrifices will be made.

I'm looking at the Canon SD600. I wondered if there were any cameras in a similar price range with similar weight where you can adjust aperture, shutter speed, etc.; I have a big film SLR camera (too big to take backpacking), so it is would be too bad to go to just point and shoot, but if that's how it has to be, so be it.

I have a Sony Cyber-Shot (see link below for specifics) and I am having a hard time finding the best settings for overall use and indoor/low light conditions. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best settings??? Thanks.

Im going on my school Washington DC trip in a few weeks and i need/want to take lots of pictures AND videos.

is there a good camera that has a good amount of built in memory that will take about an hour of video and over 500 pictures? (i will be willing to buy a memory card too)

I am looking for a new camera. I will use it to take pictures at family parties, get togethers, sporting events, vacations, and anywhere else the normal person goes, as well as to take some other pictures to support my love of photography(nothing major). I'm not sure what specs I should look for.

I have ZoomBrowser EX to put mu photos on and i have a Canon camera. My friend wants some pics that i took. The easiest thing that i could think of was to put them onto a CD. The CD is a Video Photo Data DVD+R.

But i dont know how to get the photos onto the cd!!!!! help??!!!!
