I looking to buy a digital camera

2006-11-28 09:59:15 · 3 answers · asked by yougotlicked 2

I have been researching digital cameras and im starting to understand it better. Higher optical number is better bc its better quality picture and zoom, digital works like computer software and isnt best quality when trying to zoom in. so when i look at cameras with high optical i find they have high digital numbers as well?? Shouldnt I be looking for a camera with LOW digital, so it doesnt defeat the purpose of my HIGH optical zoom??? i hope that makes sense. one store guy told me it didnt matter but i want to make sure.

Hi all, there are a few things I want to take a picture of on my way home from work, which means my camera would have to stay in the car all day. While I am at work, the film will be subjected to freezing temps inside the car. Will this harm the film? Will it still work in the cold?

And if I use the flash, will the women in the shower see it?

I've been very reluctant to buy a digital camera, but now I've realized they are very practical, more than my 35mm SLR. Which brand should I choose, and which features should I pay more attention to? I'm looking for something just to point and shoot, small (so I can take it anywhere) and below $599.

i never had any problems, and now whenever i try to load the pictures on to the computer, like half of them dont load!!!!
could this be because someone dropped my camera on the floor- cause it never happened before then- or is it just a coincidence??? how can i fix it?????

My zoom knob (moves left and right) is kinda sticky, from what I'm not sure. What would be a good way to try and clean it out?

Most digital picture frames will read the cards you use for your digital camera. I routinely erase the cards when I download the pictures on them to my PC. I want to copy or download pictures from my PC to a card for the frame.

Quite recently I have noticed more and more people using the mobile phones with video and still cameras built in. Are they really neccessary?

All too often I see people walking around town with camera phones, filming people as they are going for no apparent reason. Why? I find this behaviour very insulting if someone is walking towards me with a camera taking a picture or video for the sake of it.

Pointing camera phones through shop windows taking pictures or videos of people, blokes sat on benches filming girls as they walk past in summer.

It seems to me that these phones are taking away our privacy too much. I know that if I am in town I will be on countless CCTV cameras, but these can be regulated. I strongly object to mobile phones with cameras.

Just bought my first digital camera but the manual doesn't seem to cover how to print pics stored in the camera's memory--not on a SD memory card. Do I take the camera itself to Costco or Walmart and have them download the pics or is there something else to do first?
