Please give me a site that will give confirmation. I've tried Sandisk, Panasonic and Toshiba which are the Nikon recommended manufacturers but I don't know (and can't find) the model number.

This must have been a Walmart exclusive because it's not listed on the Samsung web site as a model. Does anyone know how this camera would compare with the Polaroid A700 which was on sale at Kmart? Any opinions on who might make the best inexpense digital camera--Samsung or Polaroid? I do know that the Samsung is very confusing to use out of the box. There are many features but a steep learning curve on figuring out how to use them.

I'm not a professional - only 14 - but I have a serious passion for graphic design, and so therefore want a camera with excellent image quality as to make them easier to work with in Photoshop. Great macro shots and night shots would be nice, but in particular, I want something you can recommend with your full confidence.

But it can't be too pricey either - I don't think I'll be able to spend more than 500-600, though one of the cameras I've narrowed it down to is in the 800's.

So if you have any personal experience with the following cameras, and any advice as to what's best for ME, I would really appreciate it. :)

nikon coolpix p3
canon powershot g7
nikon d80
canon powershot a640

which one?

I am new to all of this. Do I just put the card in the camera, or do I have to format or anything else? I bought a Kodak Easy Share C633 camera and bought a Sandisk 2GB memory card, if that makes any difference. Any help would be appreciated.

The webpage is bestpricecameras.com They sell Canon Digital Rebel XT for $569. It's unbelievable because it's $800 at other stores. Have any one of you ever bought anything from there? If so, please let me know if you got cheated or it's for real. I need a camera very soon. If the prices are really that low, it will be a good bargain. THANKS.

got 512mb mem card to go with it and wondering if i made the right choice...i bought it to take real life pics as i'm going on holiday...for things to paint onto canvas, does anyone have the same camera, and have you had any problems with it...i'm just going through instruction manual at the moment as it has quite a few features and i'm worried cause the price was only £69 and the mem card on special 512mb Kingston card for a tenner at Tesco's! the 128mb card was £11 and the 256 was i think £14...maybe i was luckY???
