The differences between them are that when using an optical zoom u wont lose any of the picture quality but with a digital zoom u will, as u are just bringing the picture forward rather that zooming in on the object.
Make sure u use the macro feature when taking pictures of fine detail, this is shown as a flower symbol.

Optical zoom is best as big as you can get, because with digital zoom you loose picture quality the more you zoom. A good quality camera like Cannon or Nikon. Hope that doesn't count as advertising.

Too basic, optical is terrific with a much wider attitude lens to seize extra of a photo. Optical bends easy, very like a telescope and focuses it onto the photograph recorder chip or action picture. digital Zoom straightforward takes the critical factor and streaches the image out reducing the prevalent. Come on, a harder question next...

Opitical, The digital zoom will make the pictures grainy.
