I have a 18-70mm dx lens (67mm filter attached). Would attaching a close up filter macro lense actually work well or i have to buy a new entire marco lens . I just dont want to keep switching back and forth. I want to make it easy by just screwing marco filter lense on top of my UV filter.

I am getting married less than a month and I want to buy a good regular 35mm to pass around for the guests to take pic's. I rather not purchase a digital for that might be too hard to show everyone how to use and a regular 35mm is just easier...

I have two Nikon digital cameras: a Coolpix 3100 with a 512 mg Compact Flash Mem. card and a D70 with a 1 GB Com. Flash Mem. card.

After the transfer is complete from the D70 and I attempt to stop the card reader, the computer tells me it's busy and try again later. This is a new development but since it started the other night, has been happening continally.

I have tried the following: Reformatting the card - same message. Using a different card reader-same message.

When transferring pictures from the smaller 512 mb card, this never happens. It is only with the large 1 GB.

My question is, could the mem. card be going bad since I tried two different card readers with same result, or would it be a computer problem?

I'm planning to buy one of these models from either Canon or Nikon.
I intend to view the images on computer and not interested in printouts. I'm using a Sony H1 now. Which model is a better upgrade ?

I know the size is different. Is there a difference in profarmance.

Assuming the the cameras have the same (Megapixals, zoom, and have the same features what is the difference in picture quality?

Is there a difference in lenses, as far as quality?.

Can you get as much in your picture with a small camera as a large?

pardon my lack of knowledge when it comes to electronic gadgets. what exactly is a megapixel? and what are the differences? why is it that the higher the megapixel, the better the quality of the picture -- what makes it better?

im thinking of investing some money on a digital camera, because after all, i love taking photos. i don't mind spending money, as long as i get what i want. i am torn between 2 cameras that i saw while shopping. one camera has a 12x zoom, and the other one is a sony cybershot t30 (the new one) what i like about the cybershot is that it captures the picture eventhough your hand shakes. (a common problem with me, whenever i press the button). which do you think would be a better investment? the sony t30 is more expensive than the other one. i think they are both 6 megapixels.
