No. The memory stick is another example of Sony presenting a wonderful new standard... when 2 or 3 others already exist and work just fine. No-one else ever followed.
The good news is that other brands DO make memory sticks, so Sony can't screw you on the price too badly.

not really.... digitial cameras usually run on SD cards... if the sony memory stick says SD on it, it will work with any digital cameral.
I dont think i've ever seen an SD sony card. The memory stick is mainly used for certain sony cameras, digital camcorders, and psp's.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. I work in a store that sells digitl cameras, and I don't remember ever seeing a camera that uses memory stick but Sony.

However, I know the PSP also uses memory stick.
