I have a 18-70mm dx lens (67mm filter attached). Would attaching a close up filter macro lense actually work well or i have to buy a new entire marco lens . I just dont want to keep switching back and forth. I want to make it easy by just screwing marco filter lense on top of my UV filter.

The closeup filters work well for the occasional shot. They're great to have when you can't afford (or can't lug around) a macro lens for the rare occasions you need it. I've had a set for years and have made some good shots with it that I wouldn't have been able to make otherwise. I also own a true macro lens.

Closeup filters aren't the last word in sharpness, but they are more than adequate for casual use. If you find that you really like macro photography and are doing a lot of it, you'll want a real macro lens, no question. In the meantime, the filters will open the door to macro photos without breaking the bank.

if you really wanna get into microphotography, or macro photography as some ppl call it, get yourself a nice decent nikkor 60mm micro or 105mm micro. those beats any macro screw-ons anytime. or perhaps the tamron 90mm macro lens too.
