I am looking for Sony's DVDCams and Mini DV Handycams. What i am unsure is that which one would be the best bet for the long run...

Can the DVD Cam offer pinnacle quality on a VHS cassette when i record the movie from the DVD camcorder to a video cassette using a VCR?

Can i rewind and then overlap record a particular scene using a DVD Cam like we can using the DV Cam?

I know that DV Cams offer USB Streaming and i can just use the USB option to convert it to a VCD but the image quality is pathetic and although the DV Cam offers superb VHS Quality.. What i am concerned is the VHS Quality that a DVD Cam can offer...

Any ideas??

Ok, I'm kind of new to the world of camcorders since the last one I bought was just a standard vhs tape kind so it's been a while. I need some opinions and info on the best camcorder to get my hubby for christmas. Do you recommend the hi8 tape, mini dvd, or regular dvd type? Any additional info on the different types would be great. Also, where did you purchase--I'm thinking overstock.com but not sure. Just please, someone educate me on this!

Now I know why this affect happens on film. The movement of the spokes don't match the 24 frames-per-second of the film; I understand this.

MY QUESTION IS: Does this affect also occure on VIDEO TAPE?

hey i want to get a video camera but i have never bought one before. does anyone know any good sites i could look one to find one. all i know is that i want on with an USB port hook-up and that it can easily replaced and is durible cause i got kinda a low budget. i also need it to be small so i could keep it in my backpack and just whip it out at any time and record an not have to hassel with a bunch of different downloads, softwares, or programs just to up-load it to my computer. so if you have any store, sites, or spacifics cameras to advise, please do.

i have tried useing my phone but once i finally get one to be the right link the stupid thing tells me that it's too big to send to my computer!

please help!

Im interested in purchasing a new camcorder, but have no idea what is the best and latest technology that will be around for a few years to come. I dont want a quick fading fad.....My last was a Sony Mini Dv. camcorder, is that technology going out or staying??

Hi
i have a sony camcorder.
Iam using the picture package software.
Iam not able to burn my video cassette into a cd.

reason: in the burn cd process, the drop down list with label "select drive" is empty.

it should show my cd drive letter rite ? eg: e: or f: but it is not showing any drive. so not able to burn to any cd. The cd is in the drive when iam trying to burn the video.

You can't transfer DV with USB. You must have firewire.

Allright, I have a Panasonic "Digital Image Stabilization EIS Palmcorder"... It's not the latest model or anything, it's a few years old and it takes VHS tapes, but it's not like wicked ghetto or anything like that. Allright, well I'm borrowing it from someone and it has no charger and a very weak, old battery. Would someone happen to know whether there are generic chargers for them or if I need a specific kind. Where would I find one, or would I have to order it? And also, how much do batteries usually go for?
