I am looking for Sony's DVDCams and Mini DV Handycams. What i am unsure is that which one would be the best bet for the long run...

Can the DVD Cam offer pinnacle quality on a VHS cassette when i record the movie from the DVD camcorder to a video cassette using a VCR?

Can i rewind and then overlap record a particular scene using a DVD Cam like we can using the DV Cam?

I know that DV Cams offer USB Streaming and i can just use the USB option to convert it to a VCD but the image quality is pathetic and although the DV Cam offers superb VHS Quality.. What i am concerned is the VHS Quality that a DVD Cam can offer...

Any ideas??

Generally, mini-dv will have better picture quality & resolution over the dvd because it's has less compression. Therefore, dubbing from mini-dv to VHS should give better picture quality over dvd.

thats a toughy well mini dv is easier to use and you can reuse it over and over, you cant that very well on a dvd and with dvd you have to plug in the camcorder to watch it OR burn it to another dvd...with the dv all you have to do is get the attachment (allows you to watch in a normal vhs player) basically you put the dv in the bigger vhs (made for that use and about 5$) its so much cheaper in the long run and easier to use the mini dv...good luck hoped it helped

i imagine of it truly is the application, the only i come to a decision to propose is Adobe optimal elements. it truly is the intro suite for Adobe optimal professional. i do no longer use action image maker so i'm no longer particular if the alternative can get replaced.
