Camcorders

I got a Sony Digital Handycam DCR-TRV/380 TRV480.I lost the software that came with it to import my videos onto my computer.I know that picture package is the software to use
If anyone knows where to get this software or any alternative to picture package please tell me. I'm desperate

I just bought one on sale for $77 and I know nothing about digital camcorders. Anyway it also has mp3, takes still pictures, digital voice recorder. So we try it out and we could only film like about 5 minutes and it said memory full. Also the lighting was just horrible. Would a memory card prolong the length of filming? Also the battery's started wearing down after about half an hour. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. And I would take it back but once opened stores won't take back camera's & software, I've tried before.

I recording a school play my daughter was in with my digital video camera and would like to edit it and burn a DVD. I have the DVD burner, but don't want to spend a bunch on an editor. I'm also not very computer savvy and need it to be easy.

I have my home theater setup with a 1080p front projector, nice screen, etc but I don't have many 1080p sources. My receiver upconverts to 1080i, but I'd really like something 1080p.

I want to record my tennis matches using the camcorder and I don't want the problems associated with 1080i. I'd also really like to have one that is small enough so that I can carry it with me when I go outdoors for bike rids, hikes, walks, etc.

I'm looking for a camcorder::

- From $0 - $400.00
- Taped to a DVD, not tape
- Sony, Panasonic, etc.
- I will be a taping some little things, like family events, but I do want to be able to edit things once downloaded to a computer.
- Compadable with both PC and Mac.

I am a guitarist and i want to record myself playing a couple of songs. My equipment is limited as I want to record the video on a Nokia N73 phone! The video quality is adequate to what I want, but the sound is horrific. I also have a multitrack recording device. So what I want to do is plug a guitar and mic into the recorder and record the sound while the phone records the video. After I have mixed the sound, how would I go about combining the two to get a final product? Software obviously? What software and is it hard?

I've read camcorderinfo.com, and in the ratings section the top ten cameras have 10X optical zoom. Isnt' 25-30 optical zoom better? I am purchasing a camcorder, and it's I've narrowed it down to a higher ranked camcorder with 10X optical zoom or a lower ranked with 30X optical zoom. Which one do I get? Thanks.
