I'm looking for a camcorder::
- From $0 - $400.00
- Taped to a DVD, not tape
- Sony, Panasonic, etc.
- I will be a taping some little things, like family events, but I do want to be able to edit things once downloaded to a computer.
- Compadable with both PC and Mac.
Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance.

The Sony DCR-DVD105 is at the top end of your budget range, and has decent reviews. However, you should also consider the mini-dv format as it is considered the best format for video editing.

I agree with Chuckie about the miniDV cams. They are definitely much better. For just a little for money you can have much better quality video and editing opps, not to mention more video time.
