I need a camcorder- I have no idea which one, there are just too many! I need a beginner-friendly one, price range from 0-$350.

HELP please??

I suggest you start here- various models are reviewed and ranked. You can read any of the reviews by clicking on the model you're interested in. The site also also has useful guides that explain common features and terms pertaining to camcorders.

Th Panasonic PV-GS19 looks like the low-cost winner at around $270. Canon & JVC also have models further up your price range, around $350.

Sonys DCR-HC26 digital camcorder is a great inexpensive camcorder for families who are looking for something to take on vacation as well as a wonderful first camcorder for an aspiring film maker. The camcorder has a good mix of basic and professional features, and priced at under $350 its affordable as well.

I have a Sony Mini DV handicam. I got it for Mothers Day this past spring. I use to video my daughter figure skating. It was the best choice I ever could have made. While the Panosonic is a decent model I feel that Sony holds a stronger product for the DV's. I purchased my handicam on ebay. I saved over $100 compared to retail prices.
