Try Jessops in any highstreet near you. They have got a Panasonic deal, for around 175. Very good camcorder. Rush before stock lasts.

I have a Sony Mini DV handicam. I got it for Mothers Day this past spring. I use to video my daughter figure skating. It was the best choice I ever could have made. While the JVC is a decent model in this class as well I feel that Sony holds a stronger product for the DV's.

I purchased my handicam on ebay. I saved over $100 compared to retail prices. It also came w/ the warranty. You can't lose here.

This product generally ranges between $350-420 in retail stores. Check out the link to the Sony mini DV here: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-1751-2978-71/1?AID=5463217&PID=2142836&mpre=http%3A//search.ebay.com/search/search.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3Dsony+dcr+hc32+mini+dv+camcorder

Good luck in your search and let us know how you make out!

stick to a household name !!!

go for something like - Samsung VPD361 Mini Camcorder £179
- JVC GR-D340 Mini DV Camcorder £199

both come with guarantees and you can get them at places like Argos etc.

I'm also selling one just now for £100 if you like? just e-mail me.
