If all the above fails. Play the camcoder, start your webcam in front of the cam corder and start recording it. Perhaps to u have a webcam.

Firewire is the way you have to go,but if you don't have the hook up you can get around it by buying a converter that converts analog to digital. It takes RCA jacks into the converter and send out signal on usb. The one I have is called DVDXpress and is made by ADS Tech. You can use it to convert any analog signal such as your VCR etc to digital. It cost me about $140 in Canada.

You can usually connect cameras to a computer via a usb to dvi cable. You need the drivers also.

You have to hae a Firewire cable and jack on your computer. A lot of computers don't have one and there's a good chance that youres doesn't. If you don't have one, you cant!
