B & H Photo is a reputable Sony dealer with very good pricing and product support. See the link below for the HDR-FX1.

although the fx1 is a good cam, a canon xh A1 might be better suited for filmmaking, and also its newer (7/25/06), which gives it a slight advantage. its HD as well and offers 24 fps recording (not true 24p, but 24f, 23.976 fps), and the higher end model xh G1 includes a professional jackpack (HD-SDI, SD-SD1, etc.). the highest end model is the xl H1, but thats really expensive, and i doubt youll get that, for now at least. the xh a1 is around $4000 and the xh g1 is around $7000. they are identical except for the jackpack. if you are still planning to get the fx1, then resellerratings.com is a good place to find a reliable seller. expect it to be around $2700-3000. hope this helps! you can read about all these cams on www.camcorderinfo.com

It's the best HD camera you can get right now. It has a GREAT picture, but it's a little difficult to focus and no XLR inputs. If you just want a really nice camera to film with, FX1 delivers.
