I have managed to connect everything properly to transfer the video using Windows Movie Maker and even edit everything. But when I get to the part to save it, It starts the process goes to 2% completed and the minutes left to record just keeps counting. How do I get it to save? Or how do I get it to be able to be sent in an email?

Hi All,
I have a sony camcorder DCR-DVD201. It records the media to a DVD-R/RW disc.
The product was shipped along with its USB driver and Imagemixer Version1.5 for Sony DVD software.

Unfortunately i lost the s/w CD and adding to it my harddisk also crashed.
Can some please let me know where i can get this software from?

Any pointer's on this would be helpful.
Thanks

My wife has a lot of videos recorded on a UK-made Sharp viewcam (including our wedding!)
She brought the original 8mm tapes with her to the US and bought an identical US-made Sharp viewcam here, but the tapes will not play properly. Is it something to do with formatting?

I'm saving to buy a camcorder, and I need help deciding which one is best for me. The only type I've ever seen is the old VHS type of camcorder my dad used. Can someone explain to me what these types are: mini-dvd, dvd, digital? And what are good brands if I want a high-quality, basic camcorder that will last but doesn't have a whole lot of special features?

I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income with limited resources. I have always served my community and fellow man in one shape or form. Right now I am a Court Appointed Child Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children. I have also volunteered for Hurricane Rita Victims (Red Cross), been to the floods in Appalachia and helped to rebuild, Helped Build a clinic for the Center of Hope in Managua, Nicaragua and worked with homeless veterans here in my city. I am trying to obtain a camcorder to film documentaries and short stories and I need the camera to incorporate stills in the video as well as make a hobby for myself. I have gone through life not asking for anything but, I now need to ask because of the prices attached to the items I need. Does anyone know of an organization that will help me? Thank you for your help.
I have served 8 1/2 years with the US Coast Guard and have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other associated disorders from a rescue that went bad.

I'm not talking about the math histogram, but on my video camera it has the option of turning histogram on. When i turn it on, it has a little bar graph type thing that moves up and down.

I was told I needed a Firewire PCI card (of which I bought) and have inserted it into the computer case, I also bought a firewire cable of which one end fits into the PCI card and the other into my camcorder. My problem is I don't know what to do next, nothing happens when I turn the camcorder on. Eventually I hope to be able to make a DVD from the images on the computer. Can anybody help? Oh and I have windows XP, if that makes a difference to the answer.

camcorders on the market are the best? Also are the camcorders with mini tapes known for better picture quality than just the straight regular DVD recorders?
I buy all my electronic equipment from Wallmart online because they always are the cheapest. The camcorder I have picked out now and will buy unless someone tells me different is the Canon ZR 700 mini DV camcorder. I'm also buying a Canon Pixma MP530 all-in-one office printer. Any other suggestions?

My husband is in Iraq and we have a daughter who is turning one soon. I want to buy a camcorder to record those precious moments in her life that my husband will miss. I need a camcorder that will make it easy for me to put videos on the computer to show him. One that can make a DVD easily. I really know nothing about camcorders and I want something that has excellent quality and ease of function. The cost is not important. Any suggestions?

I have a Canon GL1 (oldie, i know, but i love it) and the electronic 16:9 setting SUCKS. It noticeably reduces the quality.
How else could I record in 16:9?
