It also comes with some cords with you can hook it up to your tv and watch the movies you take there, that does work. Also a
usb cord to hook up to your computer but when i try that and the box popsup on my screen to upload photos and stuff, there are no video files found to upload. I just don't uinderstand!!! The videos are still on my camera I can watch them right now, I just want to save them to my computer so I can email them to family!!! Can anyone help me out??? Thanks!

I'm going to make a movie with a couple of friends, but we have a bit of a cam dilemma. We can either get a Canon ZR-700 easily and use that or fight a bit for a Canon GL1. Which should we go for?

I recorded tapes on a digital camcorder which no longer works (sony trv330) and I bought a sony trv138 which is Hi8. The tapes I made on the digital camcorder do not play back on the new one, which I believe is analog. Ironically, I had an old RCA and the tapes I recorded on that do play on the new one! Is there any way to resolve this problem without buying yet another camcorder?

I have a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV67. The only ports it has are S video, RFU DC IN, and the yellow and black slots (video+audio). I already have a video recorded on a Hi-8 tape and wish to put it on the computer. The only cables I have are to charge the battery and the yellow+black one. (there is no red) How can I hook the camera up to the computer to put videos on there?

I'm looking to buy a new camcorder, but don't know whether to go with MIniDV, DVD or Hard Disk Drive. I hear MiniDV probably is the best for editing, but I'm thinking about just doing some home movies, nothing fancy. I don't want to spend over $600 either, so I guess that narrows my options quite abit. Any recommendations?

I am looking for a video camera to buy for my teenage daughter (and the rest of the family) who enjoys creating movies on the computer. We had one, but there's no way to get the image onto the computer easily at home, so the new one should record to a memory card or we should be able to feed its data right into the computer. (the old one we could only do that with still shots) It also needs to have good sound quality and work well in low light conditions because I will be using it to record my partner's band's performances and we may use those for promotional purposes. Still shots are not required at all (never used it on the old camera, we've got another camera for that). It also needs to be tripod ready. Finally, it should be a good cost value because I'm not going to spend thousands of dollars on this thing. Any suggestions?

I plan on making a weekly video for my website and I was wondering which is better a webcam or a digital camcorder. I need to know which is cheaper and which delivers better quality, both sound and image. Also if you used them before, which brand do you recommend.

I have a Canon HV10 HD camcorder but my PC can only support Pinnacle Studio's video editing software in SD. So I record in HD but output in SD from the camcorder to the PC. Am I getting any benefit from having an HD camcorder?

A friend will be buying a camcorder soon and needs some help in understanding which features are useful.

This camcorder will be a gift for her parents who live in Bombay, so it should be easy to use.

1. Which format is better for her? mini DV, DVD disc, or internal hard disk? I don't know anything about their reliability, but my concern was that DVD and internal hard disks may not be able to tolerate shocks much. I have an old Hi-8mm camcorder, and it has worked flawlessly for 15 years, so I am inclined to recommend mini DV.

2. This is important. Do digital camcorders come with software that easily allows downloading of the videos to home computers via USB? Ideally it should be as easy as downloading photos from a digital camera.

3. Is there any use to having 30x optical zoom? I doubt anyone can hold their hands steady enough for it to be useful.

4. Her budget is about $500.

Thanks

Does anyone know of a good digital video camera - I I got one for my birthday last year but it doesnt let me edit the video, which is what i wanted it for. I would like one that either uses the mini dvd discs or one that has a built in harddrive for storing the video. Also want it to be easy to get onto my laptop so its easy to edit. Would prefer a cheaper camera but still good quality image and different settings, including the setting to film at night. Also would prefer it to be under 500 pounds and available in the uk. If anyone knows of good video cameras like this (please give model and make) and any good editing software please can you tell me.

I have installed all of the cds. But when I record a short film, then I plug it in and I play what I've just recorded. But I don't know how to save it to my documents or anywhere. Also It doesn't seem to be working as a web cam. It says that there may be something wrong with the driver, but I've installed it all. But the main help I need is as there's not much memory, everytime I record a film I need to upload it and save it to my computer then deleate and record another etc.
PLEASE HELP ME???
