with a MiniDV camcorder, once you download your videos onto your computer, can you then burn them onto a DVD for viewing on your tv?

Yes, you can.

You'll need to transfer them to your computer with a FireWire cable (not USB) using a program like Windows Movie Maker 2 or Avid FreeDV or Apple iMovie where you can edit them if you like. Then you can burn them to DVD using a program like Nero/Roxio or Apple iDVD.

If youre at least as smart as a monkey, you can do it. All you have to do is capture the video, edit it (or totally skip this step if youre like some people), then burn it straight from the editing program or burn it from a dvd authoring program (the second one has better results). If you have windows xp, it comes with movie maker (start->all programs-> its there or go to accessories). If you have mac, you have imovie and idvd. To burn to dvd on windows, you'll need a program like nero. Hope this helps!

Yes but first you have to take your footage and once edited export the movie like for example quick time movie , after this open your DVD software create the DVD with menues or don't and import the movie and push burn DVD and that's it
