I got one of these as a gift from my mom for xmas, she got it from amazon.com. I finally got a chance to actually use it and took a video with it of my daughter. NOw I can't figure out how to save it to my computer. The instrustruction manual it came with mentions nothign of the sort. It also comes with some cords with you can hook it up to your tv and watch the movies you take there, that does work. Also a
usb cord to hook up to your computer but when i try that and the box popsup on my screen to upload photos and stuff, there are no video files found to upload. I just don't uinderstand!!! The videos are still on my camera I can watch them right now, I just want to save them to my computer so I can email them to family!!! Can anyone help me out??? Thanks!

You should be able to get the data off by plugging the USB cable to the camera and hooking it up to the PC. The camera should be recognized as a drive and you should be able to go through the folders and find your movies. They might be MPEGS or AVI's and may not be recognized if you don't have the right software installed. Your camera should have software that will recognize your files to help you transfer it to your PC. Install the correct software to retrieve your files.

Start Windows Movie Maker or any other video editing program and then plug your camcorder into the computer with the USB. Click on capture from a video device under step one in Movie Maker. You can then edit, burn to DVD or email the finished clip.

You can find Windows Movie Maker by clicking the start button then looking in Programs. It's included with Windows.
