i have a 6.1 system. i'm missing a center speaker. i have a suck main floorstanding speaker. would it make a big different if i add a center speaker? or should i change the floorstanding speaker?

My Nikon Coolpix P1 fell out of my pocket into salt water... it was in the water for maybe 3-4 seconds. Now I am going to put it in a bag of rice...Because I read it gets the camera to work.. I really need this camera to work (I take digital photography) and it is my mothers to boot. any remedies?

I've been using the same Energizer rechargable batteries for, like, a month or two. Should I be getting a new pair, or can they keep getting recharged and recharged every time I need them to be? Will they explode of I over-charge them? How long should I charge them each time?

i have 660 watt 5.1 dolby digital reciever with 3 12inch subs and 7 small sourround speakers and i need more POWER!! n dont tell me to unhook some!
i dont have 1000$ for a reciever with 900 watts but i did see these amps http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=abcat0202004&type=category at best buy. can i use one of these to boost my reciever so i have 880 instead of 660 watts with out messing up doby 5.1 and all that. or are those amps not used that way. i know they are more used for sound in multiple rooms.

I'm looking for a solution to the straight black line that divides our Hisense TA42P-HDRA plasma tv screen. Regardless of the channel or if a DVD is being watched, the embarrassing black line remains and does not move. Divided into 2 sections, the picture is otherwise great. What are the probable causes of this error? Are there any repair shops that offer Hisense product support? Anticipated cost? Unfortunately, we have had this television over a year but less than 2 years, disqualifying us for service under warranty. Moreover, an extended warranty was not available at point of purchase. Already spending almost $3000 on this television, I am looking for the most cost effective solution minus throwing the television in the trash. Also, it does not help that this same television is now offered at 30 - 40% of my paid price. We now anxiously await suggested solutions. Thank you.

I own the 60GB PS3 and I've heard a lot of people making a big deal about the 40GB PS3 not being able to play PS1 and PS2 games. Well here is what I think, the majority of people that want to buy a PS3 own a PS1, a PS2 or both, so backwards compatibility really isn't a big deal because they can play their old games on their old Sony consoles.

I mean, at least the 40GB PS3 has WiFi built in. Does anyone else agree with me that it's really not a big deal about backwards compatibility or is it just me?

I have a Panasonic KX-T2840 phone a friend gave me, but it had no accessories (like a power cord) or owner's manual with it. It's of little use unless I can figure out hoe to work the call answering feature. i went to th Panasonic web site, but there was no information on that particular model. My question is, my dynamic control on the receiver is set to low, this seems to sound pretty good, in fact the best out of any calibration settings ive ever done. Should I leave the settings there and if so, I lose a little detail, so should i boost up the treble also? Does anyone have tips on setting up a big system in a small room?

My system consist of..

My fronts...Definitive Technology Speakers
My center....Definitive Technology
My subwoofer....Velodyne
My Receiver...Pioneer elite
My DVD player...Denon
My Surrounds...Definitive speakers
Cabling...all audioquest

I am pretty sure its not a cable thing, and all my connections are solid.

I have an 65 inch wide screen TV. Some widescreen DVD's fill the whole screen, while others have the black bands on top and bottom. Why?HD but I don't have an HD DVD player yet. I bought Wild Hogs in widescreen and it filled the entire screen. Transformers has the blank bands. I just don't understand the dif.

Does anyone really care about the Blu Ray movies?

I know that having the 50 gig disc is a big deal for the gamers, but if Blu Ray loses the format war to HD/DVD, do you really care?

Personally, I don't give one flying f**k about Blu Ray flicks. People keep telling me, I should be mad I was "forced" by Sony to buy a BD player with my Playstation. Now, I love games on Blu Ray. Any multi-platform game that comes out on multiple discs for the 360 immediately becomes a PS3 purchase, in my book. But when it comes to movies, regular DVD is good enough for me.

What do you think?

so im thinking about the ps3...i live in the uk and a few days ago the reduced the price for it...so now its £350 for a ps3 with 2 games...so i was just thinking if u guys can help me out?
