when i press eject, the disk tray opens half an inch then closes, once his happens, the only way to open the tray is either switch off unit at mains, will usually work then, or while the tray is open half inch, and pauses, i give the unit a firmish pat!

what could be the prob, its not an ordinary dvd player, it has a bult in 160gb hd & dvd recorder, so not cheap, although it is a daewoo

why do ps2 control pad have that "thing" at the end of the cable?
(not the connector)

I don't get it, I read this article http://www.gamespot.com/news/6181253.html?tag=latestnews;title;0 which states that sony is selling chip makers to toshiba and a majority of the comments were saying this is the end of ps3. I want to by the new 40gb sku that is coming out in Nov. but am unsure if this is the end of sony or not. Can someone help me out please?

Hey, I make short films from time-to-time with DV video cameras. You can check out one of mine here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqAV7zQGbwg. Anyway, I'm moving up to 1080i and need to know what kind of equipment I need besides a HDV camera. I have a relatively new dual core PC with 2GB ram and 8800GTS gfx card as well (getting more harddisk space soon). Can you who've successfully moved up to HD from SD tell me how you did it? I own a Kodak EasyShare CX7430, and I use to for simple photography, and I've been noticing that the pictures are crystal clear. Is is the camera, or are there better models I could use for my photography? I've been getting more serious about the photograpy stuff, so I'd like a nicer camera to make the pictures look much better.

In the spirit of having some more fun with this silly "next-gen war" debate, what argument do you hear that just makes you laugh out loud?

My favorite is the sour grapes argument..."We don't need all that extra crap that the PS3 comes bundled with."

That one always makes me laugh because the price to get all that stuff separately for the 360 pushes the cost way past the price of a PS3. And, because if the 360 had all that stuff, the same fanboys who "don't need that crap" wouldn't be able to shut up about how great it all is.

I have been waiting for the 160gb version for about a month, then my provider changed the deleviry date to next year march witch is unexciptable. Do you think I should just get the 80gb (329$) version right now??? Or should i wait till next year march for the 160gb (399$) version??? I bashed the screen in a few weeks ago and it looks like the color is bleeding all through the left side of the screen. It has progressively gotten worse and almost unusable. I can't read anything on the left side, where almost every artist, album and song is listed. I would really prefer not to buy a new iPod. What are my options here?

I will get the ps2 this weekend and get a ps3 for chirstmas do you think thats a good idea. My TV has recently been having a problem with the picture, for example, the faces on the screen have an oblonged look, the peoples foreheads look real large and oblong.
Does anyone know what the problem might be and more importantly how much would it cost to have something like this serviced. The TV is a standard CRT 32" Toshiba, not a LCD or Plasma.
