Sony had better lower the price (or else come up with some amazing bundle deals) or no one is going to buy it. There are some PS3 exclusives that I definitely don't want to miss but I'm not spending $700 (with accessories and games) for a PS3. You can get a laptop for that much and play much more sophisticated games. You figure that Sony would keep the PS3 price low so they would sell in mass amounts. With the success of the PS2 you'd think that would be a good strategy.

SONY just announced a price drop on both the 40GB and 80GB versions here in the US as of November 2nd 2007.
40GB = $399 + Spiderman 3 BluRay movie

Who ever told you that was a lie, the new 40gb with spiderman 3 blue ray movie is going to be 400 bucks. It will be available in the u.s November 2. The 80gb with motorstorm is going to be 500.

Shhh, before posting something like that - check internet. 40GB is coming, it's cheaper, yet it's much more stable and powerful than 360 and Wii together. I'm sure, that if you'll save some money, youll be able to get 40GB.
