No need to buy PS2. PS3 is enough as it is backward compatible and supports PS2 games so you see there is no point in getting PS2

The Playstation 3 does not cost a lot of money once you add up all you are getting. Plus, if you were to purchase the additional attachments for the Xbox 360 for WiFi and a HD-DVD drive, you would spend hundreds of dollars more.

I recommend just getting the PS3 for Christmas, but I'm assuming that you plan on getting the 40GB version because it's cheaper, but I advise you to buy the 60GB version before they are all gone because that version has the best backwards compatibility with most PS1 and PS2 games.

Also, yes people will still buy the PS3 even though it costs more. Do people buy Mercedes Benz cars even though they cost more than Hondas?.... Yes they do, so people will buy the PS3 and I predict that the PS3 will be at least the second top selling console this holiday season, because we all know that the Wii will most likely sell like crazy because it's like super cheap.

save your money. get a ps 3 now because they are still backwards compatible. (it means you can still play majority of ps2 games)
