I've been using the same Energizer rechargable batteries for, like, a month or two. Should I be getting a new pair, or can they keep getting recharged and recharged every time I need them to be? Will they explode of I over-charge them? How long should I charge them each time?

On the charger there should be a little light and when you put in your batteries to charge it will turn on. When the batteries are done charging then the light will go off. And I've been using the same rechargable batteries for about a year and they are still working great. If there isn't a light then it takes about 12 hours to fully charge. And no they will not explode. I've left my batteries in the charger hours after they were done charging and they never exploded.

Different batteries require different charge times. You should look them up by size and manufacturer to determine what their specs are. Also they should last alot longer than a month. They won't explode, but the ends could leak battery acid if they get too hot and overcharged. I had a pair of AA cheapos from walmart that took like 12-14 hours to recharge and they lasted me about 4 years.

Don't worry about them exploding! They won't explode unless you put them in a fire, or short circuit them or something stupid like that.

If they're NiMH batteries, you can recharge them about 1000 times. They will gradually lose their ability to hold a charge; when you notice they don't last as long as you need them to, it's time to replace them. Ni-Cad batteries are similar (probably with fewer recharges), but you also have to run the batteries as far down as possible each time before recharging them. Due to the "memory effect", if you run them down only partway and then charge them, they will only hold that partial charge from then on. NiMH batteries don't have that problem.

They do have a finite time you can recharge them. I don't think you can overcharge them, the charger takes care of that. No, they will not explode. Then charging time depends on the type of charger. Some chargers take overnight. Some are quick chargers and take 1 hour. I would read the instructions that came with the charger.

yes rechargeable batteries do have a limit this can be carried out about 1000 times each but the amount of recharges should be clearly stated on the information leaflet

usually the write how many times can the batteries be recharged for on the pack,
usually somewhere around 1000-3000times
but it depends on ur usuage though, ull find that they keep running out fast and well as soon as u get real annoyed that they dont last long enough i guess thats the best time to get replacements

My batteries declare to be rechargable 1000's of situations. In my digital digicam, i hit upon they are more suitable or a lot less shot after about 50-60 situations. i imagine the decrease ability (one thousand mAh in a AA battery) look to very last more (in words of style of expenses) than the extreme ability ones.

I hope you are keeping count, cause around 98 times, you need to throw them away. Most times they will catch fire or explode in the low 100's.

You should be replacing them at about 6 months, as then they start losing chargability. Probably charging them overnight would be sufficient.
