I have rather small ears, out and in, lol, and so yes, they DO kill my poor ears! I found that when I try to get them to stay put, I have to push far to hard, and they still fall out.
In addition to this factor, when the earbuds are actually IN my ears, the music just seems always too loud, no matter how low I may try to turn it.
I need to use those types of ear phones which cover the whole ear. Last year, I discovered the Bose earphones. These earphones not only allow a cushiony soft experiance for my ears, but allow for the reduction, and level out the too loud or too low sounds, which can interfer in music listening.
In addition, these earphones can be used to tune out sound in the enviroment. My husband had been coming home with headaches from work. This is the actual reason we spent a bit over three hundred dollars for the Bose earphones. lol He wore them without listening to music, and they tuned out those really sharp and base sounds which came from the equipment he worked around, and the very first day his headaches were gone.
But, yeah, those little earphone things for the iPonds KILL my ears too! lol I wish they would come up with something more suitable.

Hello Kim! I went to see a Reggae band last saturday and since then ive been deaf anyway lol but its coming back slowly. Those ear things never stay in my ears i prefere proper headphones that go over your head and go around the ears but i think they make some that clip over the ear too. Hope you have a nice weekend.

I find that most earphones you stick in your ear hurt.
Get some ones which clip onto your ears instead.

I like the sport ones that wrap around. I hate ear buds as none of them are comfy. Try Bose or sennhiesers.
