Wi-Fi is a wireless protocol.
To use it you will need to connect your phone to an "access point". If the access point is secure, you may need to buy "Internet" time, even though there are many free access points, mostly in cafes. You can use Wifi to access the Internet, download e-mail, etc.

Wi-Fi is a wireless internet connection. It should function a lot faster than edge.
