What is the best way to clean an album prior to using ion usd turntable to get best results?

Hi.There are 2 ways to clean a Record.

[1] Buy a Professional Record Cleaning Machine or
[2] Do it yourself with chemicals and brushes.

The cheapest machine is The Nitty Gritty model 1.0 which is operated manually.

.I cleaned all of my favourite LPs with chemicals and velvet brushes from an article in one of the Australian HI.FI Magazines.. Then i bought a lot of Records on eBay and decided to buy the Nitty Gritty Record Cleaner.
