It comes with a 40 Gig hard drive and cannot play PS2 or PS1 games.

The only thing that really bothers me is that it has no backward compatibility.

I think it's great. I already had the 60GB model already for 10 months, but I advise anyone that doesn't have a PS3 and doesn't want to drop $500 bucks for the 80GB model to buy it.

The majority of people that want to buy a PS3 already have a PS1 and PS2, so they can play thier old games on their old consoles, no big deal.

Many people already own a previous release of the PS2 or PS1 anyway and won't care. I own a PS3 and a PS2 for example.

is probably for those never own ps games before, sony said buy the low end for blu-ray. Depend to be hornetst ps2 and 1 game look like crap in ps3 anyway cause is made for hd.

It sucks!. 50GB is way better ans has so many advantages. Only a fool would a choose a 40GB over 60GB model.
