I have a blu ray player and I want to burn HD videos onto a DVD since I dont have a blu ray burner. Is there a program that will do that?

Have you had any experience with this system before? I see RCA sells them, as well as some other brands which I've never seen before. I'm wondering if the product works consistently and reliably, or if it is better to just wire more outlets throughout the house.

I have an old but very expensive home-theater audio system. The Dolby decoder finally died, but the amplifier is still fine.

Are there any receiver-only components (i.e., no amplifier) on the market now?

If not, are there any cheap receivers with 5.1 pre-amp outputs I could send to my existing amplifier?

i need a DVD player because my XBOX 360 is TOO NOISY, so i'm looking for a DVD Player i want it to hold multiple discs, and i want it to have an Optical Audio Output, but i dont need it to do the whole HDMI upconvert stuff, so i'd rather not spend the extra money on it.

I want to upgrade my Home theater system. I would like to get a powered subwoofer, what difference will I notice? Will it shake the walls and tick off the neighbors too much, maybe I should keep the passive subwoofer? The one I have is nice but it could be a little better.

Ok, I am not a loud person by nature. I studied music, I understand the dangers of damaging your ears etc. However, I recently moved into this great loft. Now, the floors are concerte, but unfortunately the walls are drywall and, well, I have (absolutely gorgous (!), but..) loud neighbor. Actually, it's her home stereo system. She doesn't do it often, however, there are times I just want to drown out her sound (imagine walking into an Abercrombie and Fitch store and hearing the music FULL BLAST).

No, I really don't want to ask her to turn it down. Why? I think this is one of the few things she enjoys in life. I feel really bad, actually. She seems like quite a nice person and all of that. Honestly, if you start telling your immediate neighbors to keep turning their stuff down it really puts a damper on positive neighbor relationships.

Anyhow, what is the LOUDEST non-audiophile system I can get? :)

I have a friend who wants to use his existing phone, but change carriers. He is in Bridgeton, NJ, and I am looking for answers SPECIFIC to this location. He has AT&T, but was told by an AT&T rep that we are in one their most porrly-served areas, so we can rule out AT&T. We can rule out Verizon, which I think it the BEST, because he does not have a compatible phone. This leaves Nextel, T-Mobile, Sprint and anything else you can think of.

If you have experience with any of these plans in Cumberland county, New Jersey, please share your opinion.

i have been using modes to take pic now like Av, Tv and stuff because the quality will be better, but the thing is, when i move a little, the picture will be blur because of the shakes. what is the technique to prevent it from shaking other than using tripod. this is because tripod is wayyy to bulky to bring everyway. thanks. please help

my son was playing with one of his cars and decided to use the screen of my LCD TV as a race course. At first I never thought he'd done any damage to it, but after a few hours a green mark appeared on the screen and is gradually starting to spread. What started off as a green mark the size of a 5pence coin has spread to the size of a couple of inches. Is my telly ruined or is there a way that can prevent the mark getting bigger or better still getting rid of it completely?
