Budget is the big question. You can spend thousands of dollars on a Home Theater system or as little as a few hundred dollars.

For just under $900 you can get this great THX certified system from Onkyo.

that's a nice TV so I suggest getting a 7.1 Surround Setup going. For full DTS enjoyment :)

Depending on Your budget if you have about 3,000 - 5,000 get a Klipsch Speakers or Paradigm Speakers with a Marantz Receiver. Depending on the size of your room you might spend more.

If you have about 1000 - 2000 to spend. Get A Sony Receiver and some Klipsch Bookshelf Speakers.

I wouldn't go HDMi. Most people cant tell the difference between 1080p (HDMi) and 1080i (Component).

Good luck.

This is a very nice tv so it would be worth getting a good sound system. Go to your local "high end" stereo store and check out what they have.
1. you'll hear good equipment
2. you'll be dealing with someone who knows what s/he is talking about
3. they know not everyone has a $50,000 budget and they have affordable systems. Plus, keep in mind you don't have to buy everything at once.

Most people don't understand what good sound can be like because they stick to BestBuy and Circuit City, but believe me it is worth the trip to a serious store.

Hi there. There are a variety of options when it comes to selecting a home theater.
What is your budget.
How big is your room.
Is good sound quality a priority
How many speakers would you like (5,6,7 plus a sub woofer)
Do you prefer large floor standing speakers ,or would you like smaller book shelf type speakers.

So you can see there are a few things we have to know before proceeding .If you can add that additional information then we can start. Thanks.
