I never heard of the eyetoy before. It may not have last long if I never heard of it. I always have been a fan of Nintendo and never do such a thing of making something similar to another console. :(

The Wii isnt a ripoff of eyetoy as the Wii actualy works compared to what I have played of the playstation eyetoy games. Although Microsoft is trying to rip off both the Wii and Eyetoy by saying you can use your own tennis raquet or golf club in their eyetoy style game which supposedly uses 2 cameras for 3d positioning and such

Considering the EyeToy is a camera-like peripheral for the PS2 and the Wii is a gaming console with motion-sensitive controllers, I'd say no. Not in the least.

personally, no. they are completely different as far as the gameplay, the wii uses a different method of interactivity. i think of the wii as a more advanced version of nintendo's older stuff (e.g. the light gun, the power glove, etc.) I think those are just as revolutionary as the wii remote. I kind of like the idea of ps3's motion sensing, where all the games don't revolve around it but have an option to use it. plus you can get games like guitar hero and rock band...
