OMG! It worked! The best part... I didn't even have to do anything! When I plugged in my iPod to update it, the songs showed up under "My iPod"! Thanks to all who answered. I will still pick a best answer, though!

There is no way to do it legally. There are security codes embedded in the files that prevent such a simple transfer from iTunes to iPod, then to another iTunes account. The easiest way for you to put those songs on your iTunes would be to burn them onto a CD, then rip them onto your iTunes, but this method is still illegal.

It is a very complicated process to get songs from your iPod onto your iTunes. ITunes does not want people to be able to share their music for free all over the place.

I would try a product called yamipod. It's the only thing I can think of at the moment that would help you.

empty your current itunes then

if you have a pc this will work (this is easier and way better then the third party programs people will give you, its free, and you don't have to install anything!!!)

1. open up "my computer"
2. go to your ipod (removable disc)
3. click the "tools" on the top of the window then down to folder options
4. from there click the "view" tab, under "hidden files and folders" check the circle that says "show hidden files and folders"
5. apply, then open the folder that is labeled "ipod_control"
6. move the folder titled "music" to wherever you would like it
7. once its done open its properties and uncheck the "hidden" box
8. add the folder to your itunes library

hope this works, it will add all the music that is on your ipod to your library so delete what is currently already in your library

I dont think u can do that becoz those songs have copyright protection . Even if u somehow manage to get it to ur iTunes , it would most probably not work . So I'd recommend using something other than iTunes to download stuff like I do
