I just learned that the Zune will play AAC. Does that mean that we can listen to music bought on iTunes on the Zune, or is it just uncompressed music that hs been compressed into AAC? I myself will continue to purchase iPods though.

The only area where they beat a sony is in the pricing department but hey even in that they fail because a sony is ahead of them when it come to pricing their products . I came up with this question because recently there is talk that sony now survives only by its brand name as it now faces tough competitors from Korea and you know whom im talking about

I just updated itunes to 7.0.0.70 (win xp)and updated my nano to 1.2.

I lost the ability to sort the podcasts by date modified (in itunes), or anything for that matter.

I subscribe to a couple dozen podcasts and like to put the 6-10 last updated podcasts into a playlist.

I know that watching channels with tickers that don't move or sports scores that stay plastered in the corner can cause burn-in. How can I prevent this from happening as I watch a lot of sports.

I just recently purchased a plasma tv and new home theatre system and, even though the picture quality is better, it isn't the mind blowing quality it was in the store. Is it because I used the standard a/v hookup using the yellow/red/white cords? My dvd player does have an HDMI out (and no, it didn't not come with the HDMI cable). If I hook up the HDMI out on my dvd player directly to the HDMI in on my tv, will I even need the color cords and will this increase my picture quality? If this is the case, any recommendations on what brand of HDMI cable I should buy or is one pretty much the same as all?

I’m not against going with a Home Theater in a Box (HTIB), but I thought someone might have a recommendation for a good, flexible receiver and some speakers. I’m not an audiophile but don’t want to buy a low-end system I won’t be happy with. I have Direct-TV (HD), a 42” plasma TV, and my room is already wired for 5.1 surround. I plan on using the system for music, watching DVDs, and sports on the TV. Based on the above any thoughts on a receiver/speaker combo that won’t break my bank but will give me some nice options? I’m thinking $500-$600 for the receiver, not much more for the speakers.

Or since my budget is kinda low should I just do a HTIB for now? If so any thoughts on which one?

Thanks!
