why my dvd recorder cannot record closed caption,
My CITIZEN dvd recorder, model: C801DVR, can not record closed caption , but can play DVD with closed caption and correctly show the closed caption, I already set " record" option to "closed caption" to "ON", I have no ideo what I can do now.

My DVD recorder does the same thing. I can see CC on the screen while the program is recording, but when I play back the program I just recorded the CC is not there. I have a JVC and their tech support told me that my recorder will never be able to display closed captioning on a program I record. It will display captioning on a pre-produced DVD (store bought or rental).
We are going to have to get a recorder that does have this feature. I was told that RCA makes a DVD recorder that will record captioning. I am actively searching for that model.

you have to open the inprov to do it
