Hello! I was wondering if there was such a thing as a RSS feed program that would message you every time it updates.
Real-time is preferred. (obviously you know that it's gonna be used here if it's real-time =)...of course that would mean that there would be like 5 messages per second, but that wouldn't bother me =P)

Every time I start my computer I get a warning ATI is not working? Send a error report. I re-installed the ATI radeon 9200se back into my computer. Now when it starts up I get a black screen. So now I am in soft start mode...and I do not dare to sut off this thing untill the probles is corrected. Thanks John ...very frustrated!!!!!!!

hi there. some people just advised me to d/l GIMP which i have done. i have some close up photos i want to do some work on and remove some blemishes, marks, freckles etc...

could anyone advise me how to do this, so that the face looks - well, smoooth lol!

then why not check your hardware compatibility with vista?!

Ok i'm just worried cuz i just bought a new computer with Vista in it.

if u just type in answers.yahoo or youtube "Vista Sucks" you can get alot of video ...but what really is the problem with vista? why does it s u c k? Perhaps those who use it, do not have the right hardware? Tell me anything you want gyz...i seriously want to know the cuz...

The image I am working on drops out halfway through clicking the lasso... I can keep clicking and see where the lasso is, and the window for the image is there, but the image is gone. It immediately returns if I hit Esc. I suspect it has something to do with clicking outside the image frame...anyone else run into this?

I have windows vista, and I'm not happy with it, and I want to reinstall my xp. When I put the disk it tells me that I have a new version of windows, and cannot continue. Is there anyway around this? Got I format vista, and if I can. How do I do this?

My 9 year old sister has a computer in her room, when she first got it, it worked perfectly. But then after a few months the computer started to become the slowest piece of machinery ever. You have to wait half an hour after turning the computer on for everything to load, you have to wait at 30 seconds for anything you clicked to work. And she hardly has anything downloaded do the space is not the problem. Does anyone know how to fix this other then re installing windows??

I want to reinstall XP in my old laptop to get rid of all trash. I inserted the CD, it asks me to confirm and after that it says it has to restart windows. But it restarts windows and nothing happens! I checked the BIOS, and the CD drive is de first boot option.

Ok, I have this unwanted houseguest who is my hubby's best friend. Every time he gets on my computer, it's always messed up somehow. I tell him constantly to stay off of it, but he never listens to me! He was on it all day yesterday, and when I got home from work, it was messed up again. First, my paint program isn't working. Everytime I click on it, it says "failed to create empty document." Is there a way I could reinstall it? I no longer have any of the installation discs that came with the computer, so I'm completely screwed! Also, I can't right-click on anything! Whener I want to copy text or pictures to the clipboard, it won't let me. I know I can use the ctrl+c shortcut, but I really want my mouse to work again! Any tips on these 2 issues?

Observations:
1. Screen flickers (as in turns black for 2-4secs then returns messed up) operating with just about anything.(e.g.open windows media player, IE, display cntrl panel)
When that happens, system tends to jam up and I've to switch the comp off and on again.
2. Ctrl Alt Delete, when pressed, has NO TABS, only the CPU Usage, CPU usage history appears, even in SAFE MODE with NETWORKING, which i'm using now to type this, or else normal mode just wouldn't allow it(since it would have jammed up)
3. White mouse cursor has these black lines/patches. Changing type of cursor doesn't help. MOUSE CURSOR is NORMAL when in SAFE MODE.
4. When XP loads,i.e. black screen with the windows logo and the blue thing that moves from L to R,color of windows distorted by black patches
5.Can't even shut down in normal mode,shutting down jams the whole thing up,colors messed up

-As far as I remember, this first occured after I visited a blog.
-Virus scan in SAFE MODE didn't reveal anything

Looking for a formula to search a cell for multiple things, e.g. check to see if A2 contains the letter X or the letter Y or the letter Z.

I found the below function which seems ok, but not sure how to incorporate the other letters (nested IF formula is complicated!). Maybe there is an easier way?

=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("X",A2)), X, "Not OK") Checks to see if A2 contain the letter X (X)

I am in France. Internet Explorer may be a good browser but I have faced blockage and even virus attack within a short period. So, nowadays I am prefering Firefox. After avoiding IE I feel that my computer is in a peaceful situation. Even spybot seems stay idle without any work. Can you say anything about this?

This message says, "Updating your computer is almost complete. Your computer needs to be restarted for the updates to take effect. Windows will restart your computer automatically in 1:29 minutes. Do you want to restart your computer now?" Choices: "Restart Now" and "Restart Later."

If I hadn't just pressed the latter, I wouldn't have even gotten to finish posting this question. About 10 minutes or so from now, that moronic message will come up again. If I'm in bed by then, I'll wake up in the morning to a rebooted computer! Whether or not I'd still been online. There really NEEDS to be a *third* choice that says: "NO!! Don't you DARE restart my computer without my express permission, and don't you dare ever present me with this message again. EVER!." (Unfortunately, there isn't such an option available.)

HOW in the world do I get Windows to STOP doing this unwanted **crap** to my computer?!?

Everytime I make a table and type in it the default font is Cambria +Headings in bold! It's so annoying! I have to keep changing it! How do I change the default table font to Verdana without having to press CTRL+A and making it Verdana everytime I type?

i just bought a new laptop and had the trial version of excel. apparantly my trial ran out. i downloaded open office.org but it will not let me open my excel files.I tried to copy all my notes off excel but it wont even let me copy, or type-just view!! It would take me atleast a month to retype these notes. Anyone have any ideas??

well i just ran a scan on my uncles Vista laptop to check the registry for any errors. Well the scanner found 294 errors but the scanner will only fix 20 for free.
does anyone know where i can get something 2 fix the rest of the errors for free?
