If your XP CD is bootable, restart your pc and press the
button that tells you to go to settings or menu before the
Windows Logo appears, this means right away when you
restart the computer. Check the booting how it is.
Make sure the cd is the first to boot, if its not, make it first.
Save settings, restart the pc and it should boot from cd.
And then you can format the pc to start a new operating system.
It will erase Vista

To get rid of Vista you should format your harddisk, at least the partition on which you have the Windows. To doo this enter BIOS to set to boot the computer from Cd-Rom. Boot from the windowsXP cd and use option to install fresh copy of windowsXP. From there just follow instructions. If you have problems after the boot from cd, like you can't format because any reason from Vista boot from a floppy disk and than format. vista is giving a whole load of probs on this subject. do you wanna put back xppro as your OS? If so, then you need to wipe your hard drive (try www.dban.com) and re-install xppro. Take it you have a cracked copy of xppro! LOL. Who doesn't? Your HDD will be re-formatted during the re-install process and you should not have any bother. By the way, VistaUltimate likes a totally clean HDD to install to; it is not a fan of permitting upgrades. Any more probs with this, bro, then get back to me and i'll take (and talk) you through what's involved.
