Problem with Polygonal Lasso Tool in Photoshop CS2 for PC using XP Pro?

The image I am working on drops out halfway through clicking the lasso... I can keep clicking and see where the lasso is, and the window for the image is there, but the image is gone. It immediately returns if I hit Esc. I suspect it has something to do with clicking outside the image frame...anyone else run into this?

This is likely a video monitor problem. Try resetting back to the original factory monitor settings. Some calibration software seems to cause this problem too.

Try contacting Adobe tech support. I found no information in the forums other than a monitor issue as I mentioned above.
