I want to reinstall XP in my old laptop to get rid of all trash. I inserted the CD, it asks me to confirm and after that it says it has to restart windows. But it restarts windows and nothing happens! I checked the BIOS, and the CD drive is de first boot option.

You did good by making sure that the CD is the first boot device.

When you insert the CD, restart your computer. You should see a message displaying, "Press any key to boot from CD...", if this happens, press any key on your keyboard, and you should begin the installation.

If this does not happen, press (usually F12, depending on your manufacturer) to get to the boot menu, and you should be able to choose the CD option. If it is not F12, there should be an idicator somewhere during the POST.

If your Cd is not bootable and if your laptop has a floppy
disk device you will need the booting disks from microsoft,
they are free. It requires 6 clean floppy disks to do this.
Once you obtain them reboot your pc and make sure the
booting set is Floppy first and CD second.
Here is the link to get booting disks.

Enrique gives sound advice. XpPro and XpHome bootdisks are available from www.bootdisk.com. Tutorials are there also. Make sure you put the downloads to totally clean floppies and not floppies you have wiped. Do not download the floppies from Microsoft. Have had probs with downloaded bootdisks from there in the past.
