I recently purchased a computer from dell with windows vista installed. Well it completely sucks and I hate it. I bought a windows XP disk, so what do I have to do to install it? Or can I?

We are trying to figure out how to blur or soften the edges of a picture in Photoshop. We want the edges to gradually fade out to white while the majority of the picture remains intact. How should we go about doing this??

I have an iso file which is in PAL format. I use nero to burn my DVD's. Now I want to but the iso file as a NTSC format so I can play it on my DVD player. Can I convert PAL to NTSC on nero?

for computers. they used to have it at my old school, and what it does is enables you to create a cartoon. you draw your immage like on paint, and then you click a buton to store that image. you then move it slightly, and like the flip books eventually you would get an animation.
does any body know what it is called, or a way to do it.

so yesterday i went in for a client to fix a problem with a program they use for their buisness. as soon i was talking on the phone with tech support the manager told me something was wrong with their datbase. in a nut shell the datbase connection was damaged some how and so i go through6-9 hours of hell and it seems that the datbase no longer exist.
i showed one of the doctors their how to backup the datbase and i told him to do it on a weekly basis. well guess what he never did that. so we have no backup of the database what so ever. my boss told me about shadow copy but unfortunately i didn't know that it even exist. and we were using veritas backup exec and apparently there are some pre commands we can do. so for example before there is a backup every night supposedly we could type in a command in the pre backup location and it would make an image of the database and then back it up. so i'm gonna be blamed for all this. what could i have done to have a way out, a way to fix this.

plz help, i have downloaded every episode of bleach and would like to convert and burn to dvd in 1 program lik emy converter does now. the only problem is, it takes over 1 hour just to convert 5 episodes (2 hours of play). is there not any software that will reduce this speed?? as it took me less than 5 hours to download 180+ episodes and takes me 1 hour to burn 5.

I purchased and installed Norton Internet Security on my laptop. After installation I received error messages that some of my windows software had been changed and that my this could cause system errors. I contacted Norton and they did not know why this occured or how to fix, they said I needed to reinstall my Windows (XP). I have a Dell and did not find that I had ever received a start up disc from them that I could reload. I called Dell and told them what happened. They sent me a Windows XP disc. This is not a start up disc. I know that when you install start up disc that you received with a computer, that you will lose all your info, software, etc. that you have on your computer, because it puts the computer back to where it was when you received. However, if this is not a startup disc, will it do the same, or will all my files, software, etc. remain on the computer? I don't want to have to go thru saving all my files, etc. and reloading my software.

The Ctrl key on the left side will not copy, it will paste, but not copy, if I copy with the right, I can paste with the left. I just can't copy and paste with the left side alone. The right side works fine. It is not the key board, I JUST BOUGHT A NEW ONE AFTER THIS STARTED HAPPENING thinking that would fix the proble. Same thing. What could be causing this? Is this something that is caused by an error? I am spooked that whatever caused this will manifest other problems. I have Norton and I have run scans and come up clean. Thanks.
