I would try the following site:

http://www.pdf995.com/

I have used PDF995 for years and it works very well. There are ads that pop up fromthe site sponcers if you use the freeware version. The ads that pop up when you use it can be gotten rid of by paying a onetime license fee that is not very much. It was on $10 when I got tired of the ads and bought the license.

If you have a Mac, Pages (part of iWork) will convert a PDF to a DOC file. Unfortunatly, I can't think of anything else that can do the conversion natively.

you can get a file converter on the web. im not sure if its freeware though, but what you can do is get one from a torrent site and use that.

I sometimes use
www.media-convert.com
Easy to use and does a pretty good job.

Don't be too much hurry to download freebies - nothing is "free." You will pay for it with ads and SPAM.
