Software - October 2007

The file opens up and is viewable it's just the font is all misc symbols... Like a couple random @ symbols and boxes as if the font isn't there... But I made it in the standard Arial font. I don't understand why it got corrupt when I saved it as a normal file...

I can't get it to go back to the font I saved it as. I mean, it's still Arial, but just butchered symbols...


How can I fix this!? Thanks in advance! =)

This is my personal opinion... I work on laptops daily and I get alot of dvds inopt due to drivers. and video drops after splash screen... and incompatibilties to the highest level of highest. SO TELL ME WHAT U THINK ABOUT THE NEW VISTA... I SAY IT SUX.. XP release was great to me.. BUT SERVICE PACK TWO WAS BAD, BUT NOT EVEN CLOSE TO VISTA TROUBLES.......

I have a lot of albums of music. Most of them are in MP3 format, but there are some that are in OGG. It would be very difficult to go through and find the ogg files and then convert them. Is there a program that can find all of the ogg files and convert that existing file to MP3, (replace it, or otherwise I would still have to go and delete the ogg file.) I am trying to avoid looking for the ogg files. Hopefully there is a program that can do it all for me.

i was only plaing games on the internet with my antivirus activated and at one moment just the internet was running and the rest of the icons has disapered togheder with the start bar. i saw some comands that should work but i cannot do nothing because i don't see nothing from were i could do that. please help, thank u.

using MLA writing style- which dictates that you must have you last name with page number 1/2 inch from the top of the right hand side of the page. I can not get it any higher than 1 inch- even though I adjusted the margins for the top of the page to 1/2 inch.... I don't know what to do- HELP!!

I only downloaded Microsoft Word 2007 to my laptop. I want to get rid of it and go back to the 2003 version. Do I have to uninstall 2007 and then reinstall 2003, or will just removing 2007 automatically return me to 2003?

So how can I prove this to my friend?

(I have a sony Vaio and a macbook and i HATE the macbook, it's not that i'm uncomfortable with it i just hate the way it does things like downloading and omg they're so slow and freeze every five seconds)

so are there some websites that list all the pros of a sony or all the cons of a mac or something?

if you think macs are better then don't answer this question cuz i don't care.

(I also have the newest Vaio, it is the coolest and best computer i've ever had, everything about it is amazing)

There are two things I am having problem with.
(1) I want to centralize the content of my website. I developed my site on a 15' screen. Then when I checked my site on a 14' screen it was not getting adjusted. I want to squeeze the content but instead of tucking everything to one side I want the content to appear centralized on every kind of screen.

(2) When I developed the site, FrontPage left atleast 5mm space on top and right left. I want to occupy this space but FrontPage is not permitting me to. I do not know how to mend this problem.

Please help me.

Okay so I downloaded some movies with torrents, when they finish downloading i open up nero startsmart and try to make a dvd and everytime it pops up and says and can't do it and then another pop up comes up and says "Due to Patent license restrictions, MPEG-4 decoding is not avaiable." What do I doo? The files are AVI.

I have adobe photo shop elements 5 and its on windows vista.

1) I know it says you can make greeting cards but I was wondering if I could make my own on Photoshop using only a template? I could like to make an invitation for something.

2) Flip book and Slide show? Can I use these tools to make a moving gif?? I know some people told me they use adobe image ready to make a video like gif. Its looks like just a video clip but smaller and maybe text around it or whatever. Is there a way for me to make a gif (that looks like just a video clip) using slide show or flip book?

3) Photo gallery what is it? They have animated is that like a gif icon? What’s the one for the web? Is it like a background layout for a site you make for ur pics? What is the interactive one for? What’s best to use for each one?

4) Also is there a way to just use a video file and cut it down and make it smaller and just put it in ur banner without using screen caps? (which someone people tell me that they do but they get this so great incon with the pics looking like the video) If not that mean you have to make like 40 layers to make a real video clip move what 10 seconds?

5) also is there a smoke brush to make white smoke? Also is there a brush for fire, sparkle stars and rain?

I copied some info from another program and pasted it into a excel spread sheet but all of the info was copied into the first column the fromat looks sames as my other program but I wanted seperate the info into different cells. Any suggestions?

I'm reformatting and reinstalling Windows XP on a 5 year old Dell Dimension 8200.

Does it matter if I choose quick format instead of full format? Would quick format somehow hurt the computer's performance?
