When I go to Add/Remove programs and click the remove button, nothing happens. I want to make sure that the entire program is removed. Any tips?

I have the key that came with my computer for the media center edition software. Were going to reinstall windows on my computer but I do not have the disc. My roommate has a legitimate XP disc he purchased, not media center edition. Question is can i use his xp disc with my key, or is the fact that my key is for media center edition going to give us problems.

my work is sending me on a microsort word course.on the 8/8/07.and i do not know next to nothing about computers. let a lone microsort word.has anyone been on one.and if so how was it.and what happens.would be very greatful for all your help
because i have just started this job[facilities assistant].and this is the first of many courses they are sending me on.and they will review how i got on in work and on the courses.in 6 months
so my job depends on ythese courses.and how good i do.

I am about to purchase a laptop and I don't know if i want to get one with Vista or XP. I know that eventually i will probably have to get Vista anyway b/c XP will be obsolete, but do any of you have it and have you had any major problems with it. I have heard that it makes you computer run really slow and a few other things. are there any big bugs that you know about

I can find it using search, but it doesn't really help me. the file name is wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe I have windows xp media sp2, pc was purchased this year. I am new to computers and I am trying to learn, but it is hard for me, my only option for Inet is dial-up connected at 14.4kps, my only option. : ( I have bought and read windows XP for dummies, to no avail. very frustrating,very. I keep up todate with up-dates, I do all my DN-Loads after midnight so the phone line is free, and I can get 16.8kbps. I am at a loss.

Yeah, i have windows movie maker and it keeps giving me that "ffdshow codec" everytime i try to put music in the timeline i dont know why. but i need help. If you know how to fix it please tell me or if you know of a preferably free program as a replacement.

I downloaded a torrent for windows vista only to try windows vista for like a few weeks, I've had it for about a month now on my computer and now it's asking for a valid activation key so it locks up my computer and won't let me access it. I can't find my recovery discs atm so i'm pretty much stuck on a locked vista computer now, I really need help as soon as possible and don't post stupid answers like "you shouldn't have installed vista in the first place" or any stupid answer or I will report it as abuse of getting points, I really need help which is why i came here so please help me with this >.< it did help me decide that windows vista is not any better than media center edition 2005 but worse so i'm not going to buy it or use it anymore. I have had Norton 2006 Security this past year. One day while loading yahoo mail beta I received a notice, "A non-yahoo software program has altered your mail page. Hence yahoo mail can not launch." The only way I can load yahoo mail beta now is by loading it then clicking on the "Try Again" button when it fails to load, or by disableing my Norton 2006 security and be security free. I have followed all the advice from yahoo but can't correct the problem. If I disable my Norton 2006 Security it will load with no problem. Should I pay $70 for Norton 2007? Or use the free Windows Security which came with my computer and I keep disabled while my Norton is enabled. Also I have a choice of using the free security provided by my ISP. I have the same problem with any security enabled when I try to load yahoo mail beta. How do I find out what has altered my mail page keeping Yahoo mail beta from launching. Any help/insight into this problem will be appreciated. Thank you. Peace~:)

I don't use Mac, I use PC.
I had to send a LOT of photos to work - I sent them as an album in Shutterfly. The recipient would need to view each photo, click it to enlarge it to the whole screen, right click, click "save picture as"... and put it in her My Pictures. ... thats would be IF she were using a PC - but she is using a Mac.
I tested this with 3 friends of mine - Shutterfly allows them to save my photos, as above, with no problem. - on their PC's.
The Mac user can not do it. I dont know her and suspect she just doesnt know what shes doing.
How do you do the equivalent of "Right click", "Save picture As" and "Save to My Pictures.".... on a Mac????

hi, the pc wont boot from dvd, only cd, so i go into windows 98 and run the dvd from there, click new interlation and leave it,
when it has done some stuff it restarts and starts running xp setup on it own, then it comes up: SiSRaid.sys is missing and then resets it self. any idea???


i have tryed to set the pc up to boot from dvd but on the bit there is ! and thats it. it will only boot from a cd not dvd but still the same drive??? oh well.

I have winrar. Hooray you might say. I also have a rar file I want to extract to make a dvd with so I can play on my home dvd player. The problem is I cant fathom out how to do it. Could somebody help please with idiot proof instructions. Thanks

I run a couple scans a day but that doesnt stop the 20 pop-ups that come up when i first enter my internet...it wasnt like that before and it is making the computer so damm slow...i know its spyware or a virus...but whats the best guarnteed thing to do without having to take it in or buy a new computer...thanks
