i posted a question about recording input and output sound.

i was told audacity allows for this and i have tried but my problem is that the input volume is too low even with the mic level on audacity up on full

any suggestions???

Thats an easy one...(coming from someone with a music degree)

Go into the windows volume control (in the tray thing)

Click on "Options" and "properties"

Change it from "playback" to "Recording" and make sure the "mic" box is checked...say "OK"

Fiddle around with it - turn it up...you can adjust the sound in Audacity if you need to if its too loud...

That'll work

highlight the input and copy it, paste it in the bar below and it should up the volume.

There's another "free" program, called mp3gain, that might help you.
