1. double click the rar file (i assume u have installed winrar)
2. click extract
3. show where to extract (default is the directory where the rar file is)
4. click ok
5. enjoy ur movie

p.s. if the movie is divided into several files (ra0, ra1, ra2 etc), then just extracting one file would combine all the rest and in the end you will get one complete movie file.

I don't really see what the problem is..

1) Extract file(s) from .RAR archive to a suitable EMPTY folder, suggest you create a new folder on drive C:\ called Extract and use that.

2) Assuming the resultant file(s) are in sub folders called VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS etc, and contain files that have the extension .VOB, simply open your DVD authoring software ( Nero, Roxio etc ) and burn all the files and folders within the folder you created to a blank DVD.
Do not copy the original empty folder that you created in step 1, only the files and folders that WinRAR extracted into the folder.

3) If the folders or files extracted by WinRAR are not as above, you will need to convert ( also called transcoding ) from the format they're in into .VOB files that your domestic DVD player can understand.
There are many free transcoders / converters around that do this. EG: If you end up with .MPG or .MPEG or .MP4 files, try downloading and using DVDx, or Super or MediaCoder or MMConvert or TMPGEnc etc etc.
You can find all of the above using Google or other search engine.

Much better info could be yours if you tell us what the RAR file contains, particularly the file extensions such as .VOB, .MPG, .AVI, .WMV etc.

make sure the rar file is in a folder with enough room to contain both the rar and it's contents (if it's a film then make sure you have about 2 gig free hard drive space)
right click on the rar file and choose "extract here" this will extract the file into the folder that the rar is in.

click onto file 1, box will come up asking what to do.click on extract now.box will come asking where to.i always send mine to desk top easier to find that way.files will now extract to desktop, unless they are password protected, then you have problems.
(OOPS SORRY,I MEAN RIGHT CLICK ONTO FILES)
better piece of kit is called extract now,you just drop your file into it and it will extract any file, freeware as well.it works i have used it.great for bin and cue files.

Ehm..
I use Winrar and it works fine. I got it here http://bit.ly/1p3P8dO
The best program to decompress files is Winrar, you can unzip all kind of files!(.zip, .rar, .7z, .iso, .tar, .jar, .cab, .gz, .ace, .uue, .bz2, etc...)
Best
