Can someone explain ratio to me? I have done a =sum(a1*10%)+a1 to get a 10 percent increase on a row but my boss wants the percent to decrease with the amount so maybe 20% of 100 but only 10% of 1000. Does this make sense????

ok when I had my graphics and motherboard I had windows XP

now I got vista nothing will install, i got norton and went on the website and they gave me updates for vista

my graphics is NVIDA anyone no of anything that can help

I have a AMD Athlon XP 2006+ 1.92 GHZ and 256 RAM. The problem is that my computer was working kind of slow and i figured that installing xp again would make it really fast so i got a copy of xp from my friend and i installed it on my computer. After the installation, everything was deleted like i expected but the computer was'nt working as fast as i expected, then i checked my computer space by right clicking on Local Disk C: and it was the same as before! my total space is 75 gb but i had used 28 gb and after the installation i thought i would have 75gb of free space but instead it was the same amount of free space, 47gb. Also i think the soound from the speakers isnt as loud as it used to be. My comp has Nvidia drivers. Also i download a game called 2 moons and it shuts down atumatically, could it be a problem with the video card because my system definetely meets the requirements, maybe the game has a problem but thats not what it looks like. Thank You for you're help

For the last year i have been trying to use an old PC as a media center. I am trying to take DVDs on my PC and stream them to my Main TV or transfer them to the PC connected to the TV. I have looked at BackStage which emmulates the AppleTV look and feel and TVersity an neither gives me what I am looking for.

I have a base Directory called MY DVDs and each folder in the directory is an entire Movie(w AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS sub folders) I want to use an interface to scan the MY DVD directory and display these movies and preferably show album art similar to the AppleTV interface. When I do that with TVersity, i have a bunch of VOB files out of order from the main movie and no way of knowing which movie each file belongs to. I am also looking to preserve the Digital Audio on these files via fiber out. I looked at the APPLETV as a solution using Handbrake to encode these DVDs to a single file, but the quality is not great and I thats over 200 movies to encode.

I downloaded CS3 from adobe and installed it. But there is this file called "WINBOOTSTRAPPER" and I don't know what to do with it. Then when it's all done installing I choose "TRIAL VERSION" but it says restart the computer or install again, but it never works? What am I doing wrong? If it helps, I downloaded it on a different computer and then put it on a travel drive and then brought it to my computer.

i know how to insert it, it's just i can't get the song onto a file to insert it. i found out i can't put songs from itunes on microsoft powerpoint, so i tried Ares 2.0.9.3030 and found the song (Good Thing, by Reel Big Fish) but im still having trouble.

i was wondering if there is a program that can organize my music files. my names are all messed up and i hate that i wanna organize them to Artist - Song. not all the other crap. and i also put them like this: f:/music/genre/artist are there any programs that can do this for me so i dont have to rename every one?

are those still available? obviously you can find everything online easily nowadays but i'm thinking about getting one for my niece since encyclopedias on cd/dvd would have multimedia stuff too like video/audio/pictures. i think she would be more interested in learning using the features a cd/dvd would have vs. just reading through the subject. anyone know? please leave link if you know of any place. thansk.

I am thinking about buying a laptop from ebay but it doesn't come with an operating system. I have a emachine desktop w/ windows vista which came with a recovery disk. If I bought a emachines laptop or any brand laptop for that matter, could I use my desktop windows vista restore disk for the laptop so both can have windows vista? I would REALLY appreciate a reply. Thanks!

I went to java.com to download the applet for yahoo games. When I went tried install it said "The installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer package." So I went to the help section of java.com, it said to disable windows installer but it won't disable even though I click on disable and then apply and restart my computer. So then I tried to download the offline version which was the other option and it says "Error applying transforms. Verify that the transforms paths are valid." I had java on this computer before and never had a problem. (We recently had to re-install windows because of a virus.) Somebody please help!

I am creating a spreadsheet, and I would like to make it so that all values that are larger than 0 are added together, but any cell that has a value of 0 is left alone. I can add them using SUM(A1:B1), but when I paste that formula, the blank cells are inserted with 0. Is there any way to work around this?

secondly my internet explorer or any other browser if i install it or download from internet cannt work the its giveing me message "The System DLL user 32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system\SHELL32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
so from where i will get the new DLL.

Is there a way to install any version of Photoshop, or any similar graphics editing program (preferrably a vector graphics capable program) onto a thumb drive and have it function on any computer I plug it in to?

I need to edit pictures at work, but MS Paint isn't cutting it. :)

I used vista on another pc recently which came from dell and that was a much bigger computer size, nevertheless i liked vista and it runned fine.

However, my computer is alot smaller. I have a vista disc for installation, just don't know wether to put it on. I think the theme and the extras little and big on it great.

Would it be okay on my comp or shall i stick to xp?
