1. To play DVDs, you need a DVD decoder, which are never free, at least legally.

VLC media player is your best bet. It's free and is DVD player ready. No codecs to install. No need to go to shady websites either. Download.com

abode windows Media participant may well be downloaded from the Microsoft website. I even have in basic terms offered an Acer computing gadget which got here with an Acer media participant already put in. I uninstalled that and put in abode windows Media participant in it somewhat is place. And that replaced into final week. so which you somewhat CAN receive it from Microsoft.
